Challenge:
Oversee dry docking and Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) installation for a 13-year-old, 1022 TEU container vessel in Shenzhen, China, remotely, while adhering to a stringent timeline, budget and class compliance.
Approach:
A local superintendent was appointed to coordinate activities across the shipyard, client’s Technical Manager and the vessel owners. The project priorities included:

Remote Docking – Suezmax Tanker (China)
Summary: Faced with pandemic restrictions and national holidays, ARK Marine delivered a full-scale docking, EGCS and BWTS installation, and crane renewals: all remotely coordinated, without a glitch.
Challenge:
Execute a complex dry dockincluding BWTS, EGCS, and crane renewalsfor a 150,000 DWT Suezmax tanker at the COSCO Shipyard in China, under strict COVID-19 protocols and logistic constraints.
Approach:
Since inception, ARK Marine has invested in establishing fail-safe remote operations protocols. These measures ensured uninterrupted operational continuity, even during the restricted travel conditions of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Manage the dry docking of MT Jag Padma, a 50,000 DWT LR1 tanker, at the ASRY Shipyard in Bahrain, remotely and efficiently.
